LEC Production Update for Summer Split
The LEC has announced changes for the Summer Split. The Malmö, Sweden Finals have been canceled, and regular-season matches will be produced with a skeleton crew in the LEC Studio in Berlin starting Week One. This approach adheres to updated health and safety precautions as determined by local German regulations.
Teams will continue to play remotely from their training facilities. The LEC aims to have all teams and press back in the studio by the end of the season. However, a skeleton crew is only possible with certain restrictions, as the number of staff required in the studio increases significantly when teams, press, or audience return.
To minimize risk, the LEC will start with a minimal approach and gradually ramp up in a controlled environment. The LEC returns on June 12, and fans can stay tuned to ESTNN for future updates.
