SEASON 14 PATCH 14.9 BAN TIER LIST
Skarner Unflopping
Despite recent “nerfs,” players are finding success with Skarner in high-level gameplay, which is trickling down to other tiers. He excels in trades, all-ins, and overall feels good to play now that players have mastered his kit. Meanwhile, Lee Sin is in a powerful phase, so banning him might be in your best interest.

The purpose of this list is to discover optimal bans, with the knowledge that enemy teams will likely ban the ones at the top of the list.
Banning Thought Process
- Which champions could the enemy team pick that would really screw my team over?
- Which champions could the enemy team pick that would really screw ME over?
- Which of the champions above is the enemy team likely going to pick if it’s not banned?
- Which of the champions above is the enemy team probably going to ban?
After considering these items, it’s time to hit the ban phase.

Method
To create this list, I start with statistical data from sites like League of Graphs. I then separate the most banned champions into “God Tier” or “Meh Bans” based on win rate and popularity. Sometimes, subjective reasoning is used, and a write-up is provided. I analyze both win rate and popularity by division and add good bans for each division accordingly.
Some people note that most sites don’t distinguish between “Platinum Only” and “Platinum and Higher.” However, this generally doesn’t make much of a difference due to the way player distribution is between ranks. Bronze and Silver make up the highest percentage of error but generally run similar to each other.
