League of Legends: Ruined and Shan Hai Skins Dropping on Patch 11.2

Feb 18 GL

League of Legends will have multiple new skin additions during Patch 11.2, with the Ruined and Shan Hai skins dropping.

After a rather disappointing start with skin releases during Patch 11.1, League of Legends made a far better attempt in Patch 11.2. This time we have Ruined and Shan Hai Scrolls skins coming to the game, with seven new skins becoming available with the new patch. Let’s take a look at these new offerings to see if they’re worth adding to you’re League of Legends skin collections.

Ruined Skins

More from Blog of Legends

Ruined Draven – 1350 RP

This skin feels like it’s a chroma for his Soul Reaver skin. In fact, there is a blue chroma for this skin, that will make you look like a Soul Reaver Draven doppelgänger. It’s the same price as Soul Reaver, so whichever one you want to pick is up to you. Keep in mind Soul Reaver doesn’t have chromas to aid your decision. Having both, even if you really like Draven, just seems like overkill.

Ruined Karma – 1350 RP

Karma has a bunch of good skins already, for a champ that I’m not sure is popular enough to need them. Karma usually has brighter colored, more light-hearted skins, but this one is more dark and edgy. I like how it’s a bit of a change in theme than the usual offerings, but I’m not rushing out to buy this one. This skin also has seven chromas.

Ruined Shyvana – 1350 RP

Well, finally a brand new look for Shyvana.  This skin looks super cool with the darker color scheme that includes some green and silver.  The dragon form looks intimating and ready to do battle, which is good.  This is my favorite of the three new ruined themed skins hands down. There are seven chromas for this one as well.

Shan Hai Scrolls Skins

Shan Hai Scrolls – Cho’Gath 1350 RP

This skin looks great. I love the look of Cho ‘Gath as a dragon. So with a great theme, colors, and a modern look, this is a must-get for Cho ‘Gath fans. There are eight chromas for this skin.

Shan Hai Scrolls Jhin – 1350 RP

At first, I thought this was Blood Moon part two, which it sort of is with a lighter color scheme. Unfortunately, I feel like the mask is a bit on the cartoonish side. However, with most of Jhin’s skins being serious, it’s nice to have something a bit more light-hearted. I think it’s a different enough looking skin to have both and I think it will sell really well.

Shan Hai Scrolls Nautilus – 1350 RP

Nautilus isn’t really known for having the best skin collection but wasn’t really in a drought of not getting any modern skins as Conqueror Nautilus came out back in July. That is a solid skin and this one is too.

This is a skin I’m strongly considering buying and I’m not the biggest fan of Nautilus.  I really like the sharp fire red color on the hook and surrounding shield. This skin has eight chromas available.

Shan Hai Scrolls Neeko – 1350 RP

This is another really nice looking skin. It’s a bit of a different darker color scheme than Neeko, who’s probably known for now bright rainbow colors. Though it’s not so dark it’s trying to be edgy and really clash with Neeko’s more upbeat personality.  I can see lots of people liking this the most out of the three available Neeko skins. You can also get eight chromas for this skin.

Overall Patch 11.2’s batch of skins seems to be an improvement on 11.1’s offerings. The Shan Hai skins I feel are great and will sell a lot. The Ruined offerings I feel are decent but will be the supporting cast to the Shan Hai skins.
